Following is a list of items compiled by Our Hope’s Staff reflecting key needs for the Residence and Carriage House that they would love to have donated by anyone interested.  Any of these items can be either sent to the Residence at 324 Lyon Street N.E., Grand Rapids, Michigan  49503 or dropped off during regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Indoor Needs

Furniture

• 14 folding chairs for the “Emergency Shelter” area of the basement to use during weather-related warnings
• Coffee table for Living Room (to go with Victorian décor)
• Dressers for Client Bedrooms
• Twin mattresses and box springs

Décor

• Floor lamps for Carriage House
• Lamps for Clients' bedside tables

Electronics

• Flat screen computer monitor for Residents’ shared computer
• Flat screen monitor for Staff bedroom for the security system cameras
• AM/FM Radio/CD player combination unit for the kitchen
• Computers (with Windows 7)

Small Appliances

• Alarm clocks for bedrooms
• Heavy duty vaccuum cleaner

Cleaning Supplies

• Brooms (indoor and outdoor)
• Heavy duty, institutional floor mop/bucket combination

Non-Perishable Food (or perishables with longer shelf life)

• Snack foods, such as crackers and granola bars
• Cereal and Breakfast Bars
• Baking Supplies, like sugar, flour, mixes, canned frosting, powdered sugar, Jell-o gelatin or pudding mixes
• Canned fruits and vegetables

Arts and Crafts Supplies

• Scissors, glue/glue sticks, pens, markers, white poster board
• Bags of pillow stuffing, fabric for pillow-making (each client makes a pillow)

12-Step Supplies

• 12-Step and 12-Tradition (12 & 12) Books
• Big Books and N.A. Books
• Addiction and Recovery-related DVD’s
• Daily Meditation Books  (A.A. Conference approved)

Outdoor Needs

Landscaping/Furniture

• Overall plan and  plantings (shrubs, annuals, perennials)
