Our Hope offers a variety of assessment services, all provided by a Masters Level Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor experienced in assessment of the total woman.
Court Mandated Assessment
Our Hope provides Court Mandated Substance Abuse Assessments by appointment at our clinical office. These assessments are approved and accepted by the State of Michigan and local courts. Women receiving this service will meet with one of our Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors, who will recommend services to best meet each woman’s assessed needs and will file the required report with the court system. We offer flexible scheduling and have appointments available Monday through Saturday.

Clinical Assessment with Recovery Planning
Some women may be unsure of their service needs or wish to seek a professional opinion before committing to a specific therapeutic program. Our Hope offers any woman a thorough, completely confidential biopsychosocial assessment of her unique issues and needs either at Our Hope or in the privacy of her West Michigan home. Assessments are conducted by appointment with one of our Masters Level Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors who will also assist the woman in developing a recovery plan designed to meet her identified needs. If the recovery plan results in either Residential or Intensive Outpatient Treatment at Our Hope, 50% of the cost of this assessment is refundable if treatment at Our Hope begins within 30 days of the assessment.
Michigan Health Professionals Recovery Program (HPRP) Evaluation
Our Hope Association is an approved provider for HPRP. In addition to other HPRP services, we provide the evaluations required by this program to identify substance abuse and/or mental health issues and determine treatment needs and the appropriate level of care for each woman. These evaluations may also be used as a second opinion evaluation or as an evaluation of needs after a recent relapse or positive drug screen.
Residential and Intensive Outpatient Assessment
Each woman participating in Residential or Intensive Outpatient Treatment at Our Hope receives a thorough, completely confidential biopsychosocial assessment of her unique issues conducted by one of our Masters Level Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors within the first week of therapy. This assessment informs a customized treatment plan that each woman designs with her individual therapist, and that reflects her unique issues, needs, and goals. The cost of assessment and treatment planning are included in each woman's total program cost.
