Residential Treatment Consists of:
Level One
Initially, emphasis is
placed on basic physical and emotional restoration. Individual,
group and family counseling begins. The resident is exposed to
disease concepts groups, holistic health, drug, and alcohol education as
well as physical fitness, relaxation techniques, home making skills,
nutrition, crafts, and community education. Participation in
twelve-step self-help groups is encouraged and expected. Usually
this level of treatment last about one month.

Level Two
During the second
month, residents focus on emotional healing. Intensive one-on-one
counseling, assertiveness training and self-awareness groups help the
resident assume responsibility for her own recovery. With increased
exposure to recreational, educational, creative and social activities, the
residents begin to actively participate in the community.

Intensive
Outpatient Program (IOP)
The
IOP began in January 1997 to better serve the needs of women with children
who are able to remain at home while in substance abuse treatment.
The IOP is held at
within the therapeutic community of recovering women. The IOP
clients meet for four hour sessions three days per week for as long as
eight weeks depending on the individual’s needs. Lunch and
transportation to the twelve-step meetings are included.
