Women in the Residential Treatment program live at Our Hope for 30, 60, or 90 days. This allows them to receive round-the-clock recovery support in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment as they engage in therapy and begin to practice new recovery skills. In addition, women in the Residential Program spend more time in therapeutic and psychoeducational groups on a wider variety of topics. There are also more opportunities to address deeper emotional and psychological issues. For many women, Residential Treatment also offers the necessary opportunity to focus on their own issues and growth away from the demands and triggers of their daily lives.
Women in the Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Program attend three to four hours of programming three days per week, for eight to twelve weeks while living at home or other housing away from Our Hope. This program is less intensive and works best for women whose alcoholism, addiction, and/or mental health issues are less severe, for women who have a supportive living situation and a strong sober support network, or as a “step-down” treatment for women who have completed a Residential Treatment Program. IOP may also be an option for women who are unable to commit to the intensity of Residential Treatment. Women in the IOP Program attend treatment with the women in the Residential Program, but attend fewer groups and activities. Depending on the length of treatment, therapy may be more solution and behavior focused, and less focused on deeper emotional and psychological issues.
