Q: Why do you enjoy working with women or in the recovery community?
A: I love working with women in the recovery community because there’s a level of honesty, strength, and connection that is truly powerful. Being in recovery myself allows me to show up authentically, and it creates a space where other women feel safe to do the same. There’s something beautiful about women coming together, supporting one another, and fighting for a better life side by side. Watching women rediscover themselves and heal is incredibly inspiring to be a part of.
Q: What do you bring to Our Hope?
A: I bring my experience, strength, and hope to the women at Our Hope. I know what it feels like to struggle, and I also know that long-term recovery is possible. I try to lead by example and show these women that recovery does not have to be hidden or shameful. I want them to see that they are capable of rebuilding their lives, finding joy again, and becoming proud of who they are. My goal every day is to make sure the women here feel understood, supported, and never alone.
Q: What is one fun fact about you?
A: One fun fact about me is that I have really fast reflexes when it comes to catching things that are about to fall
Q: Anything else you’d like to add?
A: One of my favorite moments is introducing myself as someone in recovery and seeing the surprise on clients’ faces. When they say, “Wait… you’re in recovery?” To me, that reaction is proof that recovery works. It shows that healing, growth, and completely changing your life is possible, no matter where someone starts.
